JESSE DANIEL SMITH

Tell me where and when, I’ll take it from there.

Hi, I’m Jesse.

Photographer, filmmaker, and very much a dog person.

THE APPROACH

Classic photographs. Without stopping.

Good photographs. A good day. No need to make it more complicated.

I specialize in getting traditional photographs without posing. I’m always shooting, even when we’re moving from place to place, chatting, or seem to be just about to get started.

What you see on the day.

I keep it low-key: a small setup, some distance, and my attention on what’s happening.

LGBTQ+ COUPLES WELCOME

I HATE THAT I HAVE TO EVEN SAY THIS

LGBTQ+ couples are welcome here. Whatever your genders, identities or orientation, if everyone is freely consenting, I’m happy to photograph your love.

YOUR DAY / YOUR PRIORITIES

Start with the ceremony. Work both ways.

We usually start with the ceremony, then work backward and forward. More time with family and getting ready? More of the reception and dancing? We build the coverage around what matters to you.

Plan coverage in both directions from the ceremony A central dot represents the ceremony. Arrows point left toward preparations and right toward the reception and dancing. The ceremony is a planning anchor, not a fixed time of day.
PrepCeremonyReception + dancing

Same eight hours. Different priorities.

11 am–7 pm8 hours

More room for preparations, family and ceremony.

2 pm–10 pm8 hours

More room for the reception and dancing.

Two examples, not set packages. The right window depends on your ceremony time and the day you have planned.

A note on long days

Around ten hours, I burn out. I generally avoid very long days; if you want marathon coverage, I may suggest a team better suited to that pace.

15 YEARS / ONE HOUR AT A TIME

A little outside the circles.

I’ve been doing this for 15 years to fund a music career. Weddings and events, seen from my own slightly sideways point of view.

Your day. Your hours. Your questions.

Can I add a Super 8 film?

Yes. Add a Super 8 film for $1,000 on top of your photo/video booking. One cartridge, with shooting, processing, scanning and editing included. Expect about three minutes of recorded footage; the finished edit length varies. Currency and tax treatment are confirmed in your quote.

Can I see a finished client gallery?

Absolutely. I have many full weddings. Tell me your style, and I’ll show you a wedding I think fits.

What if I’m still figuring out the plan?

Write to me anyway. Tell me what you know and what you’re unsure about. We can talk through photo, photo + video, or adding Super 8 without a booking form.
